Dr. Mary Agnew joined Norristown Area School District this month as the new High School Curriculum Supervisor. We are excited as she joins us in enhancing the educational experiences for each and every student.
Dr. Agnew began her career in education by teaching Chemistry and Social Studies before spending 15 years as a classroom teacher. She then transitioned into administrative roles, including Assistant Principal, Virtual Academy Director at Reading School District, and Executive Director of Blended Learning & Educational Technology at William Penn School District. Her work has focused on curriculum development, technology integration and the creation and implementation of AI policies. In 2024, she was honored with the Chief Technology Officer Award by the Pennsylvania Association for Educational Communications and Technology (PAECT).
Dr. Agnew earned her EdD in Educational Technology from Wilkes University, and holds an MA in Education from Gwynedd Mercy University. She also obtained a K-12 Administrative Certificate and a Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction Certificate from Lehigh University.
Mary lives in Pottstown with her husband, their son, and their dog Baxter. In her free time, she enjoys supporting her son's athletic and esports teams, cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles, reading mysteries, and running.
Dr. Agnew's diverse experience and passion for education make her a valuable addition to the Norristown Area School District. We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Mary Agnew to our team and look forward to the positive impact she will have on our community.
