Ms. Sandra Casimir joined the Norristown Area School District this week as Assistant Principal for Norristown Area High School. With an impressive career spanning nearly three decades in the field of education, Ms. Casimir brings a wealth of experience, expertise, and unwavering dedication. Here is a letter from Ms. Casimir introducing herself to the Norristown Area School District community:
“Dear Norristown Area School District Families,
I am pleased to introduce myself as the new Assistant Principal at Norristown Area High School. My dedication to education is unwavering, and I am deeply committed to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment for all scholars.
I bring unique qualifications and experiences to this role, including a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, a Master’s degree in Education with K-6 certification, a Master’s in School Counseling with K-12 certification, and a Principal’s Certification. With a rich professional journey spanning nearly three decades across elementary, middle, and high School settings, I am well-equipped to contribute to the academic excellence of Norristown Area High School.
I have dedicated 26 years to the Philadelphia School District as a teacher, school counselor, behavior health counselor, and Assistant Principal. Additionally, I had the unique opportunity to work abroad for two years with the Department of Defense Educational Activities (DoDEA).
Beyond my professional life, I’m a proud Haitian. I serve on several boards, am a Diamond Life member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and enjoy volunteering, traveling, finding great bargains, and exploring diverse cuisines. My greatest joy is motherhood—I’m the proud mom of a talented young lady named Alexa, not to be confused with the Amazon device :-).
I am committed to creating a nurturing environment wherever I work. I am eager and deeply invested in collaborating with all stakeholders to address issues and find solutions. We can create the best learning environment for our scholars through our collective efforts.
As your Assistant Principal, my primary goal is to enhance, transform, and elevate the educational experiences of all scholars. I am fully committed to working closely with parents, guardians, teachers, administration, and staff to ensure our scholars not only receive the support they need but are also inspired to reach their full potential.
