Mr. Michael Miller joined Norristown Area School district this month as the new Chief Financial Officer. We look forward to the positive impact his leadership will have on our district.
After earning dual bachelor's degrees in Finance and Economics from Penn State University, Mr. Miller began his professional journey in financial analysis at General Electric and Eaton Corporation. Transitioning to school business, he initially served as an accountant and later as an accounting manager for a charter school. His career progressed, leading him to the position of Assistant Business Manager at Daniel Boone Area School District and, ultimately, the position of Business Manager at Midd-West School District. For the past six years, Mr. Miller has served as the Business Manager for the Eastern Lebanon County School District. Mr. Miller has over 11 years of experience in school business. During his career, he also earned his Master’s in Business Administration from Villanova University.
Mr. Miller now resides in Downingtown with his wife and four children. He enjoys spending time with his family and attending his children’s activities. Additionally, he likes spending time outside and staying active.
Mr. Miller is looking forward to supporting all NASD and school staff, and guiding the district through the upcoming comprehensive plan.
We are thrilled to have Mr. Miller here at NASD as part of our leadership team.
To ensure a smooth transition, Mr. Miller will be working closely with our outgoing CFO, Anne Rohricht, over the next few weeks. This collaborative effort will facilitate a seamless handover of responsibilities and insights, ensuring that Mr. Miller becomes acclimated to the financial landscape of our district. We appreciate the dedication and hard work that Ms. Rohricht has provided during her tenure with us, and we are grateful for her commitment to facilitating a successful transition.
