Dr. Wayne Wallace

Interim Building Administrator

Over the past year, Dr. Wallace has served as Interim Principal and Interim Assistant Principal at Whitehall Elementary School and Norristown Area High School.

Dr. Wallace has over thirty years of experience in education, working in all demographic areas: urban, rural, and suburban, from kindergarten to college. He has worked as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and college administrator. He is a former principal at East Fallowfield Elementary in the Coatesville Area School District. Dr. Wallace is a graduate of West Chester University and Immaculata University. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education K-12, Principal Certification, and Masters and Doctorate degrees in Educational Leadership.

Dr. Wallace is passionate about helping students succeed and assisting his teachers. He is a dedicated and passionate educator/administrator who has significantly impacted his students' lives. He strongly advocates diversity, equity, and inclusion in education. Dr. Wallace has developed programs that assist students at all levels, from elementary school to college.

As the assistant principal at the high schools, he developed the Latino Club, which empowered students' academic and social involvement. During Hispanic Heritage Month, students performed various Puerto Rican and Mexican dances, such as Salsa, Merengue, and La Bamba, and concluded with a fiesta for students and their families. During American Education Week, he developed a vocational school fair that included occupations such as dental hygienist, x-ray technician, culinary arts, and automotive technology.

He coordinated a 21st Century After-School program that received national recognition and innovative programs that enabled students to advance from below basic to basic and proficient levels in core subjects. As the Interim Director of Minority Affairs at West Chester University, he developed an innovative program to deepen student relationships among diverse students and facilitate diversity, equity, and inclusion in partnership with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Dr. Wallace enjoys hiking in the nation's National Parks, including Yosemite, Zion, and the Grand Canyon. He likes traveling to Orlando, Florida, with his son and grandson to the Pop Warner Youth Football Super Bowl Championships with the Downingtown Young Whippets, which won the Super Bowl Championships for two consecutive years. He adores playing with his three younger grandchildren at the beach and enjoys reading expository genres and writing.
