Need food assistance?

If you need food or access to hot or frozen meals in Norristown, find details, including phone numbers and addresses of charity run organizations. Most of the centers will provide some form of assistance to anyone who needs help, regardless of their income, age, or background.

Some of the items provided to the needy can include hot or cold meals, breads, fruits, vegetables, meats, and frozen foods. Many of the centers in Montgomery County will also have special holiday programs, such as Christmas or Thanksgiving gifts and meals or provide a household with an entire holiday baskets. Last, but not least, most of the pantries can either provide, or refer people, to such assistance as a clothing closet or emergency funds to pay heating bills or rent.

Whether a resident is facing an emergency, and needs a free bag of groceries to last for a few days, or if they need referrals to SNAP food stamps, help is available from a pantry. A number of volunteers and case managers do what they can to support people in need.
