Read Across America Comes to Marshall Street!

On March 2nd, our students celebrated Dr. Seuss’s birthday and the love of reading in many ways.  Every grade level read books, and participated in exciting follow-up activities from cooking to writing, and surveys to science experiments.

In addition, our 1st through 4th Grade students had a very special opportunity to interact with leaders from our community.  Honorable Judge Gregory Scott, Honorable Judge Margaret Hunsicker, and our new County Commissioner, Mr. Kenneth Lawrence, came to our school to discuss their careers, inspirations, and the role they play within our community.  Then the students enjoyed listening to a book being read by our special guests.  As a surprise, the judges and county commissioner donated books to our library to commemorate their visit and foster the love of reading and learning.

Everyone had a wonderful day enjoying and interacting with so many great books!!
