Whitehall Elementary School is located in West Norriton Township. Our school opened in September of 1992. We currently have over 500 students in kindergarten through fourth grade. We are a Title 1 federally funded school. We offer English as a Second Language and Gifted programs.
The Whitehall staff holds very high expectations for both academics and character. We recognize the importance of bringing the community, parents and school together to share the responsibility for the education of our students. We provide a learning environment that utilizes all its resources to provide opportunities for student success. We are committed to bringing quality academic and arts programming that will enrich our student’s experience. Our responsibility is to take children from where they are and help them achieve their potential.
We are very fortunate to have received several grants. They have provided the students with Arts in Education performances, trips to Riverbend Environmental Center, Farm to Table grant to provide every classroom with the opportunity to try out fresh fruits and vegetables three times a week, a Food Trust grant to provide trips to farms and nutritional information for our families, and a Respect Grant to support the teaching of character traits through literature. In addition, the Norristown Rotary Club donates dictionaries for every third grade student to take home.
We provide the Art Goes to School program, No Place for Hate activities, Jr. Achievement Economics program, Winter and Spring concerts, Grade level performances, and Field Day.
